Re: Court Pendu Plat on Geneva rootstock
I live in SE Ohio and have both of those varieties on M111 and M7. Court Pendu Plat is one of the most reliable bearers for me because it blooms so late.

Re: Foxwhelp Imposter?
Hello Appledude/Plumfan <g>, Well my Fauxwhelp is less intense in color, more whitish pink I would describe it. The image you posted the link too looks more like the original Foxwhelp except it might be larger. Who knows about the size though, pictures can be deceptive. Any exploring this past fall ...

White Winter Pearmain is from the 1800's in the USA where a traveling tree salesman lost the tags on his trees and came up with the name. I grow both of these varieties and they are diffe...

Re: Is this a Roxbury Russet?
I grow numerous varieties of russeted apples and that include Roxbury and Golden. Roxbury Russet looks like your picture, the skin under the russeting is green. Golden Russet apples have yellow skin under the russetting.
Re: #10 Apple
There is a variety called "March #10" that is supposed to produce very large fruit. I just grafted two trees of it this past spring so I cannot say how big the fruit grows.

Re: Foxwhelp Imposter?
If the Foxwhelp variety you are growing turns out to me medium to large and is mainly rough skinned with a light pinkish hue it is now being called "Fauxwhelp". True Foxwhelp is a small to medium bright red apple. I have both Foxwhelp and Fauxwhelp and they are completely different. Fauxwh...
