I have spent the last month researching prior to my purchasing 15 semi dwarf apples and 5 sd pears next month.
Having trouble finding a county extension agent on the purdue website.
Am specifally looking for the resistant rec varieties I should plant in my area.
I was told by the nursery I will be purchasing from that MSU (Mish St Univer) has a great calender for spray schedule. Anyone use this?
I would appreciate any and all links to members favorite links on growing apples in the midwest. Email me at srst07@yahoo.com
Thanks
Savannah

Dear Savannah
I'm sorry that I don't know the answer to your questions but I was hoping you could help me. I'm just beginning research for my own MIDWEST small family orchard and I was wondering which trees you picked. (Since you knocked yourself out with research already!) I'm cheating! So far on the farm we have one already existing tree and today I bought a Granny Smith and Red Delicious....sp? I saw on the MU Extension web-site that they highly recommend Liberty as a good choice for the mid-west and I found a nursery on-line where they offer them for only $19.00. If you have time write and let me know which one's you have selected! I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Jule
