I have a Brabourne apple tree blooming and it always blooms so nice and smells great in the spring but where the heck are the apples? I have gotten only a few apples from this tree and they were small and poor quality. This tree is about 7 years old, is a dwarf and is beautiful. I have multiple varieties of apple trees planted nearby and they produce apples. I’m close to cutting it down.
Do you have any suggestions on how to get it to produce?

Re: Nonproducing apple tree
Do your other trees flower at the same time as the braeburn? Are you positive it is a dwarf?
I would graft it over instead of cutting it down either way!

It is a semi-dwarf and yes my other apple trees are blooming as well as my crab apples.

Re: Nonproducing apple tree
Well, it can be biennial. Have you tried thinning?
Re: Nonproducing apple tree
Will try thinning and our county extension service suggested 2 pounds phosphorous.
Thanks
