Bloom and harvest charts

Post by keith99 »

I'm going to be planting several apples nect year, I'm figuring 7, but may be forced to go as high as 10. (I'm getting so many in part because I found this site with many varieties selected for the Southern California climate).

My biggest problem is that I cannot find any single source for both bloom and harvest times. So I'm trying to piece together both. I've found trees of antiquity which is great wor heirloom trees. But the source I'm using goes from heirloom to ones so new they don't even have names yet (jsut Co-op numbers).

I'm having more luck with bloom than with harvest, but more sources for either would help. Especially for a variety called Hawaii. That one is a real problem to search for (so much for growing in Hawaii or apple computers in hawaii comes up).

Thanks,

Keith

Kuffel Creek Apple Nursery in Riverside says that you can grow all sorts of apples in that hot climate.

Of course, the more sources of overlapping pollination, the merrier!
