Hello, I am gluten intolerant and someone told me that apple peelings contain gluten. I started to suspect this as being true when I started having gluten allergy type reactions more recently, and I am also eating lots of apple peelings so my toddler can enjoy his apples peeled.
So my question is: what are the various types of waxes or coatings used on apples and what are their exact ingredients? Is there a resource on the web on this topic? I always purchase organic apples but cannot seem to find any that are unwaxed. Perhaps I will need to grow my own apples!
