Need Identification Help

Post by digdugsmug » Mon Sep 26, 2011 2:32 pm

Hi I was wondering if anyone can help me itentify this apple/tree. It seems to produce apples every other year. The apples start out green and very tart. Eventually some red blends in and the tartness mellows. Let me know if any other description is needed. Any suggestions? Thanks!

What area are you in - the location is often a clue to possible varieties.

Here are some more pics of apples I have harvested in early October. Anyone out there have any ideas on what these are?
