Hi guys , new member to the site here and i have access to an abandoned orchard area full of mature trees .
There are a number that i cant identify and this is the first one , if anyone knows please 8)
the apples are still on the tree , heavy crop , midsized apples , apples had a slight wax
on the skin and many have black spots/marks which is only skin deep .
They store well and can be used as eater/cooker , white flesh moist and a bit tarty .

This year they are still growing/under ripe .
The first pic , the tree was taken last april , the apple pic was from late last ocober , some of the pples kept until feb 2011

thx in advance

no id. required for the bike ; it's mine :P

You can send samples to the UK National Fruit Collection at Brogdale Farm and they will be able to identify them for you.

a sample apple which was analysed and identified as Charles Ross type.
