IDENTIFICATION SOUGHT

Post by Mistletoe » Sun Oct 02, 2011 4:41 am

Growing up we had an apple orchard in Cornwall and I have been trying to identify one variety that grew there. It was a very small apple that had pink flesh. I'm sure my father called it a Quarantine or something very similar but I have never been able to trace it under that name. It's a childhood memory of the best apple ever! Can anyone help?

I think you may be right. The description certainly sounds accurate although I don't remember the skin being so evenly red as in the photograph. Perhaps ours was a Cornish-Quaranden! Thank you for posting.
