What kind of apple is this?

I went to the farmer's market today in Indiana and bought a bunch of random apples of all different varieties, all locally grown. Tonight I tried one and it was absolutely delicious, but I have no idea what kind of apple it was. The skin was very dark red, and it actually looked like plum skin rather than apple skin, with no green tint at all, almost purple-red. The flesh was white rather than yellow tinted, and it was very, very soft and juicy, not crunchy at all. The apple was sweet without any hint of tartness. It tasted somewhat like a red or golden delicious apple in terms of sweetness, but it was even more sweet. The apple was the size of the larger apples that are available in grocery stores. Does anyone have any idea what kind of apple it is?
