#10 Apple
I recently was in Schuylkill Haven, PA in a local flea market with a produce stand and I bought some apples, the man at the stand told me they were called #10 apples. They were pretty large and very juicy. Slightly tart and sweet at the same time with a very firm flesh. I've looked and looked trying to find these apples anywhere else and cant find any information about Number 10 apples. Does anyone else know of a name for these? Perhaps it is a variety grown only in the Schuylkill Haven, PA area. I'd love to be able to find these apples without the 2 hour drive.
Re: #10 Apple
Could be one of those proprietary apples that only the grower has. Nobody else has it.
This often comes from doing your own apple exploring in the wilds. I have several.

Re: #10 Apple
There is a variety called "March #10" that is supposed to produce very large fruit. I just grafted two trees of it this past spring so I cannot say how big the fruit grows.
