Hi
Just joined the forum.
Tx to those who make it possible
My interest in fruit trees is fairly new.
Whilst out walk the dogs I came across the following apple.
The tree is 15 foot plus high.
The fruits which are many are still on the trees mid December.
It has two seeds. It's about three inches long
Does anyone know what it is?
It's skin is similar to the outer area

I have other pics to help if needed
What Apple?

Interesting find. Can't say for sure what it is, but Kandil Sinap's get about that long. Not sure whether they hang on the tree that long though.
Is this a wild tree planted by an errantly thrown apple core, or planted by birds or critters by chance?
Roadside? Fenceline? Ditch?
Or did it occur in a regular planting?

BTW, I find persistent apples easy to spot after all the leaves have fallen in the autumn. You can see pretty well over a half mile whether a tree still has fruit on it or not.

Hi Appledude,
The tree is in the front of a garden planted deliberately
It's about 15 foot high
Will get a windfall a little earlier this year.
If I see resident in garden will stop and ask him.
Will take some more pics
The fact that the all the apples were still on in December
initially drew my attention
Will look up Kandil Sinap's

I also thought Kandil Sinap - but that would be extremely unusual in Wales.

Hi Richard
The tree as one would expect is currently full of fruit.
Will take picture of tree with zoom lens and perhaps find "a windfall".
The tree hangs over onto a council verge.
