Am looking for crab apple tree to plant like we had years ago. It grew wild and was greenish yellow (no red on it at all ) when mature. The fruit was sour but was not bitter. does anyone have an idea where to find this tree?

That sounds like about half of all crab apple trees! heheh

It will be tough to find the kind you are looking for with this information. Some other things that may help are...

When did it bloom?
When did it fruit?
What color were the flowers?
Did the fruit grow in clusters?

You will find many nurseries actually grow and sell crab apples as ornamental or fruiting trees! Much Luck!
