Has anyone tried to grow the hidden rose apple on the east coast? I am in NJ and would like to make it part of my orchard in the long run but with CAR (cedar apple rust) being so prevalent in our area I didn't know if this would be an exercise in futility or if there is enough resistance in this strain to actually bear fruit.
I'd love to hear from west coast growers as to how this apple stands up on their side of the country too.

Nice pic!
On the west coast it grows pretty much like that picture. Tasty apple, that. Probably the tastiest of the red fleshes, actually has more than tartness.
