Hi,
I am new to growing apple trees. When I got this tree (king of county), it seemed very lush. But now, it seem to have stalled and is dying. I have no idea what is going on? Thanks!

Anyone know what is going on with my apple tree? Thanks!

When did you get the tree, and when was this photo taken? Have you kept it indoors (it seems very close to the house)?

I got this tree about a year ago and the photo was taken the same day I posted, Feb 24. The tree was not kept indoors, but it is next to my house outside. I live in Southern California.
The tree never shed its leaves, but that might be because the weather hear is relatively constant. Over the last few days I started to notice new leaves starting to come out of the buds.
Thanks,
Ray

Apple trees expect a period of winter chill, and this causes them to drop their leaves in the fall and go into dormancy. I think the problem you are seeing is likely caused by the lack of cold temperatures, so the leaves are decaying but not actually falling off as they should do.
