Hi all, My first post and first apple tree and was hoping for any advice if possible?
I purchased a dwarf Golden Delicious apple tree last month and planted it with soil improver and blood and bone etc. However still have no blossom as yet and all thats happened is that each branch has grown approx five inches of new growth?
I assumed maybe the tree is to young to bear fruit but popped into the shop from where it was bought and many others of the same batch were in or starting to blossom? Is there still time for it to blossom or has it decided to put all its energy into branch growth instead?
I could try adding a photo of the tree if it will help?
Many thanks for any help?

Hi I'm rather new to the forums but your tree probably won't have blooms it's first year being planted. Because when you plant it you end up damaging the roots no matter what you do so the first year will always be slow growth. this goes double for a tree planted in the spring as it shocks the tree not being planted while it is dormant.

Hope i helped

The tree is probably just too young to have any blossom this year. Give it a year or even two years to grow before expecting much fruit. Some young trees bloom right away. Most do not. Patience.
