Is this canker?

Hello, im after a little help please.

I have a red falstaff planted last winter, it was a 2 old year potted half standard. It has done very well so far, blossomed and set many fruit, however one branch has some brown leaves and at a point on that branch it has some of the bark missing. I’m unsure but im guessing it may be canker.

Can anyone comment on what it might be. I live in plymouth in the south west of the uk, if it is canker is the best solution to cut that branch off immediately?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I can't see pictures that you've uploaded. Can you please reupload them so we can give you some nice advice. I have a big fruit garden in my house in Larnaca here and I love apples, I can give you some expert opinion for sure .
