Court Pendu Plat on Geneva rootstock

Post by scottnc »

Anyone with experience with Court Pendu Plat on G.11, G.16 or G.41? How about the Suntan apple on the same?

I am in the southeast, NC specifically, any experience regarding the above two varieties suitablility for NC's hot and humid climate would be appreciated.

Gosh, no one eh? How 'bout hearing from anyone growing the CPP apple or the Suntan (on any rootstock) in the southeast?

I live in SE Ohio and have both of those varieties on M111 and M7. Court Pendu Plat is one of the most reliable bearers for me because it blooms so late.

Reliable bearing aside, is the taste up to snuff? Some varieties, Honeycrisp for one, don't reliably fare too well taste-wise in the south due to the lack of enough chill hours.
