Need to know what type/ variety of apple is LATE producer. I live in NJ. Any help would be great. Would like one that doesn't need much care or is disease free. Or as close as possible.
Thanks
Joe

Try GoldRush or Enterprise. Fuji and Granny Smith are also very late.

Arkansas Black is also late reliable and tough, Winesaps are pretty durable too and came from New Jersey.

Also might want to give Ananas Reinette a try. I picked in early October if that is about the time you want. My tree has only been in the ground three years and it has produced only one year. It is a slow grower and the only insect bothering were ants bringing aphids to it. It is a dense, tart apple. You can see pictures on one of my posts.

I like Melrose. The Ohio State Apple. Has good flavor even in Mid February.
