Do you have any animals? The first thing I would say is to have the dog stay out with the trees for a couple nights. Are you looking for a humane way or would culling them be acceptable?

I'm in Michigan, USA. There is an orchard within a half hour drive of my house that has multiple varieties of red fleshed apples. They make some awesome hard cider from the red fleshed apples. I thought that there would be a list on Wikipedia (or applepedia or something like that) that would have just what you are looking for, but I cannot find it :( I have found an article from orangepippin about low chill apples, a paper on low chill apples and lots of lists of what certain orchids have...
