Exactly! I have always advocated bringing back all the speciation to nearly replicate the the original kind! I doubt there is much academic interest or spare university $$ to get the job done. Some report the color not being stable sometmes, some turning orange. I cheat by using store bought sterile apple juice made by OceanSpray company and they include a healthy dose of cranberry juice right in it with its bright red color. You could drizzle on some sugar mixed with cinnamon powder if they were too sour or you wanted to experiment a little.

Pectin is a soluble fiber and soluble fiber is also found in oatmeal.
Soluble fibers in general are efficient at dragging cholesterol out of the human gut.
The slime of okra is also efficient at this.
Never tried snail slime though! LOL
