Register a new apple variety?

I tried several times over the last three years to register a new variety, using the Tree Register function here on the Orange Pippin website. I never got a reply or confirmation, and the variety name has still not appeared.

How do I register a new variety?

I'm having the same problem - no sign of new varieties being active in the database, and only 20 characters available in the relevant data entry field, making it difficult to add a tree's full name anyway.

Anyone know if the database is still being maintained. It would be a shame if it wasn't it seems like such a hugely useful resource.

I would assume that it is still being maintained. I have plums that I asked to have added and they are not yet.
