Hello
This is my first post .
I was looking at the tree register and wondered why it exists, that is for what purpose it was created beyond having a record of how many and where trees there are of what sorts.
Thanks
Declan

Re: what's the purpose of the tree register
Hi Declan,
Welcome to the forum. There are a couple purposes of the tree register.
First and foremost its give hobby orchardists and orchard owners a way to enter data/notes about their trees for their own personal use and tracking of information. For example, you can annually track when it blossomed, tree height, notes about spraying or pruning or any thing notable about the fruit for that season.
Second, it can be used to give other tree owners an indication if a specific variety has been grown in your area.
Third, by collecting blossom and harvest data on trees we have a wealth of data that we ultimately hope to build into an application that would benefit our users by knowing average times to harvest for various varieties/regions.
